Consuelo Frauenfelder
Swiss director and producer Consuelo Frauenfelder graduated from the University of Geneva, where she taught history and cinema until 2017. After founding Garidi Films in 2012, she directedseveral short films, including A la piscine, which was screened at the Locarno Film Festival in 2019. Garidi Films is behind the production of Pueblo (Directors’ Fortnight 2015) by Elena Lopez Riera, La rivière sous la langue (Locarno 2015) by Carmen Jaquier and Le Pays (Visions du Réel 2019) by Lucien Monot. Consuelo Frauenfelder has also co-produced films with Yann Gonzalez (Les rencontres d’après minuit, Un couteau dans le cœur), ), Davy Chou (Diamond Island), Quentin Dupieux (Le Daim), Hirokazu Kore-eda (La Vérité) and Léos Carax (Annette). In 2021, the company produced the unique virtual reality experience Red Bull The Edge, Matterhorn VR, which can currently be viewed at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
