Edwin Ramirez (they/them or none) is an Afro-Dominican, non-binary crip performance artist and cultural practitioner based in Zurich. They are best known as one of the founders of the queer crip theatre project Criptonite, which, together with Nina Mühlemann, develops shows and workshops on various aspects of disability using drag, pop culture and aesthetics of access. They are active in various areas of the Swiss cultural scene in an advisory and mediating capacity, for example, as a board member of ArtFAQ and a jury member of the Migros Story Lab. Accessibility, collective responsibility and care as part of artistic practice are topics that they pursue with great passion.
