Anaïs Emery
Anaïs Emery was appointed the new executive and artistic director of the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) in January 2021. Prior to this she directed the Utopiales International Festival of Science Fiction in Nantes (France) and was an independent film programmer. A co-founder of the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), she was its artistic director from 2006 to 2020, helping the festival gain international acclaim. In 2017, she completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in communication and web expertise at the University of Geneva alongside her studies in cinematography. Anaïs is committed to young Swiss filmmakers and innovation, works within Cinéforom and the Swiss Film Academy and launched the FutureStoryWorlds@CERN workshop, which aims to consolidate the futuristic narrative universes associated with the evolution of science and technology and was developed for immersive media (video games and XR).
