Stories around these questions in the context of a location search for a permanent nuclear disposal site in Switzerland are shown in a documentary/animated style, together with a multi-voice portrait of inhabitants of the regions concerned as well as the players in the fields of science, arts, and politics.

STORY

8 BIS 18 accompanies a family with two sons for ten years. This coming-of-age film shows how Philipp (8) is growing up. He knows instinctively that he is a boy although his body has female features. He trusts his gut instinct, but can his parents do the same? A story about two brothers who are different and their parents who are trying to support their children unconditionally.
