«The Landing» (working title) explores the outdoor garden of an administrative detention centre under construction near Geneva airport, dedicated to the examination of asylum applications. The film highlights the site’s ornamental strategy, where the aesthetics of the garden contrast with the centre’s repressive function. Through audio interviews, it explores this reconstructed space, revealing the tensions between the architects’ idealised vision and the reality of a dehumanising system.

Story

Tiff and Zoé’s story begins where their mother’s ends. After her suicide, the two half-siblings are in their early twenties and with no parents. Story

Story

The process begins with research covering different countries with different political stances on surrogacy, pregnant teenagers and/or their guardians. This determines whether the story should be made into a series or a film. A workshop with actors that focuses on the physical expression of emotions will characterise the story. Story

In the terraced settlement of Prato Pernice, between rock faces and holiday flats, caretaker Nino looks after the sporadically inhabited rooms. The project combines observations of his daily work with subtly staged scenes in which amateur actors appear as temporary residents. Routines, fleeting encounters and smouldering conflicts overlap between the strict geometry of the architecture and the summery inertia of the communal pool – and paint a picture of a fragmented community.
