Let’s talk! Networking Event at the 79th Locarno Film Festival

Together with Locarno Film Festival’s ‘BaseCamp’, the Story Lab organised a networking event and flying dinner at the 79th Locarno Film Festival.

Let’s talk! With the Story Lab networking event in Locarno, we’ve fostered new connections – in a relaxed atmosphere and on an equal footing. To this end, we brought together professionals from various sectors of the film industry. Our aim: to enable up-and-coming talent and industry experts to get to know one another and strike up a conversation. It was a success – how wonderful! After all, it’s through shared dialogue that ideas can best flourish. We’d like to thank the many participants and are excited to see which projects will get rolling as a result of this networking opportunity.

The industry experts at a glance

For the fifth time, the Migros Culture Percentage Story Lab was a partner of BaseCamp. Launched in 2019, this project offers young filmmakers the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the Locarno Film Festival for eleven days and forge new contacts within the industry. This year’s edition of the programme, called ‘A Promise to Respect’, brought together 200 up-and-coming international talents. Every year, filmmakers supported by the Migros Culture Percentage Story Lab have the opportunity to take part in the programme.
