OPENING EVENT WITH NIELS ALBERG FROM “PUBLIKUM”
How does a film reach its audience? Growing competition from streaming services is making this question increasingly important. The opening event of the “Im Atelier” section of the Solothurn Film Festival, organised jointly by the festival and the Migros Culture Percentage Story Lab, therefore focused on audience building. The Danish tool “PUBLIKUM” combines AI and anthropology to bring filmmakers closer to their audiences. Co-founder Niels Alberg gave us an insight into the new platform.
We were also pleased to be able to present the projects sponsored in the second phase of the development to the public for the very first time. In discussions with moderator Monika Schärer, the directors, producers, authors, and game designers of these projects talked about their creations and the collaboration with the Story Lab.
