Story

Amada Libertad tells the story of the young poet Leyla Quintana, who fought against the military dictatorship during the civil war in El Salvador. She processed her experiences in hundreds of poems. She died in the war, but her poems are still a symbol of strength and emancipation today. To tell the facets of her story, the film is being realized as an animated documentary.
