Story

One afternoon in August 1934, 55 boys escape from the Belle-Île-en-Mer juvenile prison and scatter out across the island. Overwhelmed, the prison offers a reward of twenty francs for the return of each escapee. Everyone joins in the hunt, including locals, fishermen, and tourists.
Belle-Île is a fictional feature film, loosely based on a real event.
